Disney Ticket Price Increase Broken Down - Ten Things You Need To Know

Ticket prices for Disney Parks increase every February - we knew it was coming.  Yet every year, there are guests who wait to book for a variety of reasons that end up on the more expensive side of the increase.  Here are 10 things you need to know about this increase and how it affects your family.

1. Staying on property has more value than ever for the next few days - booking an on-site vacation package before Feb 21, 2018 will lock in the 2017 prices before the increase hits and keeps your prices as low as possible.

2.  Deposited packages are LOCKED IN!  Your price will NOT be affected, even if you change resorts, dates, or tickets.  If a promotion is added to your package, it moves to current pricing.  Your Travel Planner will assist you in making sure you have the BEST price possible.
3. Prices increased between $2 and $10 per day.  This is based on the season, the number of days on your multi day ticket, and if a hopper is included.  Hopper price has also increased.

4. Parking prices have also increased.  This is for OFF SITE guests - on site guests still enjoy complimentary parking at parks and resorts.

5. Universal Studios and Sea World will likely follow suit soon - also book packages or standalone tickets soon for lowest pricing.  Keep in mind that ALL standalone tickets are non-refundable.  Booking a package allows maximum flexibility.  Yes, I can help with that!

6. Tickets are priced by seasons - Value, Regular and Peak.  This determines ticket price per day.  These will become more dynamic later this year and will have even more variation.  Again, book now to avoid this.

7. Tickets never lose their value, but tickets purchased today expire on December 31, 2018.   Even if your ticket is used after the valid window ends, you STILL get the credit for the price you paid toward a current ticket.  Though a ticket purchased today may not allow you entry in 2025, it WILL give you the price paid toward the current pricing.

8. Tickets adjusted on site will be subject to price increase.  Try to choose the right number of days when booking your package now.  If you add a day or two on site, or a hopper, your ticket price will be adjusted to include the increased price as well as the additional days.

9 and 10.
